Ruby,
a 6 month old kitten who had just been adopted by her family 2 months
ago, got outside and climbed a tree in her front yard. I went out the
evening of her 3rd day in the tree to see if I could help her down.
Ruby was a star rescuee -- she climbed toward me as I started up to her,
and the entire rescue only took about 30 minutes. During and after the
rescue concerned neighbors aware of Ruby's predicament slowed down as
they drove by to ask for updates. The neighbors couldn't have been more
relieved than the family's two daughters who were particularly glad to
have Ruby back safe and sound.
