Jongo was stuck in a skinny pine tree about 40 feet off the ground. The rescue was complicated because the tree Jongo was in had no branches strong enough to hold me. Amid Jongo's constant cries, I climbed the trunk using a foot strap and a couple of alternating lanyards. A climb like that is slow and tedious, but Jongo waited patiently and was back inside within an hour of my arrival. The dad of the home took a vacation day to see to it that Jongo got down safely. He had promised his 9 year old daughter that Jongo would be inside before she got back from school, so I think he was relieved by the end for more than just Jongo's sake.
